Dr. Christine Longo
Dr. Christine Longo attended Auburn University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She worked for several years at Dow Chemical before deciding to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. While at Dow, she received a Master of Business Administration and learned how to teach Quality Performance to teams. Chris is a 2005 graduate of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in dermatology, dentistry, wellness, and pain management. Dr. Longo is Elite Fear Free certified, a Certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian, and a graduate of Dr. Sophia Yin’s Low Stress Handling University. She wants to make your pet’s visits to the veterinarian as stress-free as possible. In the veterinary field Dr. Longo has been a CSR, veterinary assistant, large animal ICU technician, mixed animal veterinarian, small animal general practitioner and relief veterinarian. She does site certifications for the Fear Free organization, and has been a writer for Relief Rover. Chris grew up in Waveland and is the youngest of six children. Her remaining brothers and sisters continue to live along the Mississippi Gulf coast. She enjoys spending time with her family, which includes husband Richard, two rescued dogs and two formerly feral (now very pampered) cats. She loves reading, travel, riding horses, live theater, outdoor activities and being on both sides of the camera.
